Victor Keith Fields

Victor Keith Fields, known affectionately as Vic, passed away suddenly on May 29, 2024, at the age of 66. He was born on October 14, 1957, in Salisbury, MD to the late Herbert Wilson and Loretta Carr-Brown. He most recently resided in San Diego, CA. Mr. Fields graduated in Auto Mechanics from Towson University in Baltimore, Maryland, and showcased his athletic abilities as a basketball player by playing in Brazil and in Mexico for their national league. Victor's talent and passion for antique car restoration and preservation led him to become a skilled mechanic and small business owner. He loved to ride motorcycles and swim in the ocean during the winter. His legacy lives on through his three sons: Victor K Fields Jr. of San Diego, CA, Victor W Fields, and Keith Fields of Jacksonville, FL; three daughters: Tina Polk Christian of Greensboro, NC, Shardey Fields and Eternity Fields of San Diego, CA; two granddaughters, Imani Wilson and Myrah Christian. Left to cherish his memory are one brother Steven Mason of San Diego, CA, three sisters, Aretha Conaway and Aratha Powell, both of Salisbury, MD, and Tonya Perry of Frederick, MD. One aunt Elsie Shelton of Philadelphia, PA; special cousins: Karen Shelton of Philadelphia, PA and Kimberly Brown of Odenton, MD; four nephews Dionte “Tinker” Dutton and Brandon Conaway of Salisbury, MD, Michael Tomlin of Frederick, MD and Steven Mason II of San Diego, CA; two nieces: Sierra Mason of Baltimore, MD and Summer Mason of San Diego, CA; spouse then friend Norma Fields of San Diego, CA. He valued his family dearly and cherished the time spent with them. In addition to his parents, he has been preceded in death by: his stepfather Ezxact Brown of Salisbury, MD, his grandparents Margaret Black Hutt and Robert Thomas Hutt of Salisbury, MD, his partner Yolanda Sturdivant of Jacksonville, FL; one daughter Victoria Fields of San Diego, CA; and one nephew Durelle Javon Conaway of Salisbury, MD. Those who knew Victor will always remember his charismatic personality and his ability to make everyone laugh and feel special. He was hardworking and dedicated, always striving to bring joy to the lives of others whether it was through the gift of a flower, a kind word, or a plate of his delicious food. Mr. Fields’s impact on the lives of those around him will never be forgotten. Family and friends will gather to celebrate Victor’s life and honour his memory. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
